He said Larry will be missed. He said Larry was a hard worker, always willing to handle any problems, and offered his prayers for the family. E. Council Member Polvorosa accepted the condolences of the City Council on behalf of his uncle. He said his aunt was a grand southern lady and she will be sorely missed. He also said Larry Miller would be missed. He said Larry was active in the schools and many other organizations and was a good friend. F. Council Member Perry expressed her condolences for the loss of Mrs. Polvorosa and Mr. Miller. G. Council Member Perry noted that graffiti has appeared on East 14th Street and Halcyon Drive. She requested a status report on the graffiti -removal program and said resources may need to be re-evaluated. She also congratulated the Recreation-Human Resources Department on the great response on the Christmas-tree decorating program and wished everyone happy holidays. H. Council Member Faria wished everyone happy holidays and invited everyone to the 24th Annual Linguisa Party at Faria Hardware. He said this would be the last party in honor of his father. I . Mayor Karp once again expressed his condolences. J. Mayor Karp noted the Tree-Lighting Ceremony this year drew the biggest crowd ever and proposed that next year a Christmas Decorating Contest be established to include both businesses and residential decorations and that the City Council tour the City and give prizes for the best decorations. 9.
