t ►• :1011 <br />Chapter 3.28 <br />REHABILITATION, CONSERVATION <br />AND MOVING OF STRUCTURES <br />Sections: <br />3.28.010 Rehabilitation and <br />conservation. <br />3.28.020 Moving of structures. <br />3.28.010 Rehabilitation and <br />conservation. <br />The agency is authorized to acquire <br />property within the project area for rehabili- <br />tation and resale, as needed to further the <br />purposes of the plan. Property acquired by <br />the agency for rehabilitation and resale shall <br />be offered for resale within one year after <br />completion of rehabilitation, or the agency <br />shall publish an annual report in a local <br />newspaper of general circulation listing any <br />rehabilitated property held by the agency in <br />excess of such one-year period, stating the <br />reasons such property remains unsold and <br />indicating plans for its disposition. <br />The agency may establish a program un- <br />der which it loans or grants funds to owners <br />or tenants for the purpose of rehabilitating <br />commercial buildings or structures within <br />the project area. The agency shall not loan <br />or grant funds for the rehabilitation or con- <br />servation of properties that are not structur- <br />ally or economically feasible, or that do not <br />further the purposes of the plan. The agency <br />may adopt standards for the rehabilitation of <br />properties within the project area and may <br />condition loans of rehabilitation funds on <br />compliance with such standards. <br />The agency shall render an annual report <br />to the Legislature setting forth in detail its <br />rehabilitation activities, including expendi- <br />ture of public funds, number and kinds of <br />(San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Supp. No. 2, 12-05) 134 <br />units rehabilitated, and disposition of reha- <br />bilitated units. (Ord. 99-025 § 211.1, 1999) <br />3.28.020 Moving of structures. <br />As needed to carry out the purposes of <br />the plan and when economically and struc- <br />turally feasible, the agency is authorized to <br />move or cause to be moved any structure or <br />building to a location within or outside the <br />project area.
