i <br /> • • <br /> H. The purpose of this agreement is to set forth the terms and conditions of <br /> employment which ACFD shall provide to Fire Employees following consolidation. <br /> I. This agreement shall be presented as a joint recommendation to the San <br /> Leandro City Council, and shall become final upon approval by the SLMO and the <br /> San Leandro City Council, and the Alameda County Board of Supervisors. <br /> Agreement <br /> Section 1 Recitals <br /> The foregoing Recitals are true and correct and are incorporated herein. <br /> Section 2 Recognition <br /> Alameda County Firefighters Association Local 1428 (Management Unit) shall <br /> be the recognized bargaining representative for the classification of Fire Battalion <br /> Chief in accordance with the County MOU Section 1. The San Leandro classification <br /> of Deputy Fire Chief shall become a ACFD Deputy Fire Chief, which is an <br /> unrepresented classification in the ACFD. <br /> Section 3 County MOU For Fire Employees <br /> Fire Battalion Chief shall be subject to the provisions of the County MOU <br /> except as modified herein. <br /> Subsection A. Pay and Classification <br /> 1. Salary Schedule - Effective upon the date of the Master Agreement, ACFD <br /> salary schedule in effect on such date shall be applied to Fire Employees. Fire <br /> Employees shall be paid at the same step in the ACFD salary schedule as they were <br /> paid in the San Leandro Fire Department salary schedule. For example, a Fire <br /> Battalion Chief at the fourth step in the San Leandro Fire Department salary <br /> schedule shall be paid the fourth step in the ACFD salary schedule. For Fire <br /> Employees not at the top step in the San Leandro salary schedule, future step <br /> advancement within the respective salary grades shall be based on the step <br /> advancement dates used in the San Leandro Fire Department on the effective date <br /> of the Master Agreement. 'The ACFD base salary schedule is attached as Appendix <br /> „A„ <br /> Subsection B. Health and Welfare <br /> 1. Management Benefits Plan- Upon the effective date of the Master Agreement, <br /> Fire Employees shall be eligible to participate in the ACFD Management Benefits for <br /> 2 <br />
