Health Benefits - Upon the effective date of the Master Agreement, Fire <br /> Employees shall be eligible for the same medical, dental, and vision benefits as <br /> provided by the County MOU for Battalion Chief or ACFD policies and procedures <br /> for the unrepresented classification of Deputy Fire Chief, except that Fire Employees <br /> may enroll only in the County's PERS medical plan. <br /> Subsection C. Vacation Leave <br /> 1. Accrual - Vacation accrual shall be as prescribed in Section 8 of the County <br /> MOU for the classification of Battalion Chief and the ACFD policies and procedures <br /> for the classification of Deputy Fire Chief. <br /> 2. Transition of Vacation Time-The maximum vacation accrual is 2 times annual <br /> accrual. Fire Employee's vacation balances on the City's books as of the effective date <br /> shall be carried over to the ACFD, notwithstanding the maximum accrual rate in the <br /> County MOU. Upon the effective date, Fire Employee' s whose vacation accrual <br /> exceeds the ACFD's maximum vacation accrual shall have two years from the <br /> effective date to reduce their annual vacation accrual. Vacation and holiday sign-up <br /> for calendar year 1995 will be honored after the effective date. <br /> Subsection D. Sick Leave <br /> 1. Accrual - Sick leave accrual shall be as prescribed in Section 9 of the County <br /> MOU for the Battalion Chief classification; Deputy Chief shall be as prescribed by <br /> the ACFD policy. <br /> 2. Transition of Sick Leave Time - The maximum accrual is 1,800 hours for shift <br /> employees and 1,286 for non-shift employees. Fire Employee's sick leave balances on <br /> the City's books as of the effective date shall be carried over to the ACFD, <br /> notwithstanding the maximum accrual rate in the County MOU or the maximum <br /> ACFD accrual rate for unrepresented managers for the classification of Deputy Fire <br /> Chief. <br /> Subsection E. Deferred Compensation <br /> Fire Employees participating in the San Leandro Deferred Compensation Plan shall <br /> have the following options: <br /> a. Transfer their account balances to the Alameda County Deferred <br /> Compensation Plan. <br /> b. Continue their account with the City of San Leandro Plan, but will not <br /> make further deposits into their account. Employees may elect to participate in the <br /> 3 <br />
