• • • <br /> in excess of such amount. Fire employees selecting option 2(a) shall not be eligible <br /> to enroll in the City's retirement plan at a later date. <br /> 3. Termination of Retirement Medical Transition Provision - The retirement <br /> option described in subsection F (2) (b) above, shall remain in effect until: <br /> a. The ACFD contribution rate for retiree medical insurance equals the two party <br /> rate of the Kaiser North premium in the PERS medical plan; or <br /> b. Three years from the effective date; whichever occurs first. <br /> 4. Transition of Retirement Dental Insurance - Retiring Fire Employees and <br /> eligible dependents may re-enroll in the San Leandro retirement dental plan, subject <br /> to the approval of the dental plan carrier, at the contribution rate in effect for <br /> SLMO and may remain enrolled until age 65 subject to the following requirements: <br /> (i) The Fire Employee shall have reached the age of 47 as of the effective date; <br /> and <br /> (ii) The Fire Employee shall have completed 17 years of service with the San <br /> Leandro Fire Department as of the effective date. <br /> 5. Termination of Retirement Dental Transition Provision - The retirement <br /> dental plan option described in subsection F (4) above, shall remain in effect until: <br /> a. The ACFD makes available a retirement dental plan; or <br /> b. Three years from the date of consolidation; whichever occurs first. <br /> 6. Retired SLMO Fire Employees - Former San Leandro Firefighter Employees <br /> represented by the SLMO who retired prior to the effective date shall remain <br /> enrolled in the City's retirement medical and dental plans as specified in the City <br /> MOU. <br /> 7. Fire Employees Disabled After the Effective Date - A Fire Employee who <br /> retires on an industrial disability after the effective date may elect the retirement <br /> medical and dental plan options as specified in paragraphs 2, 3, 4 and 5 above. <br /> Subsection G. Layoff and Seniority <br /> 1. Layoff- The layoff procedure for Fire Employees shall be in accordance with <br /> Section 19 of the County MOU, and the Alameda County Civil Service Rules. All <br /> previous City service will be applied toward vacation accrual and seniority for layoff <br /> purposes. <br /> 5 <br />
