Medical Supply Stores . Establishments that sell medical supplies and equipment. <br /> <br />Mini-Warehouse. See “Public Storage.” <br /> <br />Mixed-Use Residential. One (1) or more dwelling units in a building with another prin- <br />cipal use. This classification includes housing above retail establishments in a commer- <br />cial area. <br /> <br />Mobile Food Vendingor. A person engaged in tThe sale of food from a handcart or <br />other small, self-propelled, or tow-able cart. any motorized or trailer vehicle, de- <br />signed to be portable and not permanently attached to the ground, from which <br />only food and beverages are sold, served free or sampled, displayed or offered <br />for sale, as regulated by the San Leandro Municipal Code. <br /> <br />Mortuaries. Establishments where dead bodies are kept until burial. This classification <br />includes funeral homes, but excludes cremation. <br /> <br />Multi-Family Residential. Three (3) or more dwelling units in a single building on a site. <br /> <br />Municipal Code. The Municipal Code of the City of San Leandro, as amended. <br /> <br />Neighborhood/Specialty Food Markets. Neighborhood grocery stores, and stores spe- <br />cializing in particular or distinctive food items, including but not limited to retailers whose <br />primary business maintains a wide inventory of gourmet, health, or ethnic food items not <br />commonly found in area Supermarkets or Convenience Stores. This classification also in- <br />cludes delicatessens, confectioneries, full service bakeries, butcher, fish and poultry <br />shops, and produce markets, and may also include a sandwich shop as an accessory <br />use. Also see “Convenience Stores.” <br /> <br />Nonconforming Structure. A structure, which was lawfully erected but that does not <br />conform to the development standards for lot coverage, setbacks, height, number of <br />stories, distance between structures, or floor area ratio prescribed in the regula- <br />tions for the district in which the structure is located by reason of adoption or amend- <br />ment of this code or by reason of annexation of territory to the City. <br /> <br />Nonconforming Use. A use of a structure or land, which was lawfully established and <br />maintained, but that does not conform with the use regulations for the district in which it <br />is located by reason of adoption or amendment of this code or by reason of annexation <br />of territory to the City. A use that does not conform to the parking or loading regulations <br />applicable to the district in which it is located shall not be considered a nonconforming <br />use solely because of one (1) or more of these nonconformities. <br /> <br />Nonhabitable accessory structure.
