Pharmacies. Establishments that primarily sell prescription drugs. <br /> <br />Porch. A covered platform, usually having a separate roof, at an entrance to a dwelling, <br />or an open or enclosed gallery or room, which is not heated or cooled, that is attached <br />to the outside of a building. <br /> <br />Pre-existing. In existence prior to the effective date of this code. <br /> <br />Project. Any proposal for new or changed use, or for new construction, alteration, or <br />enlargement of any structure that is subject to the provisions of this code. <br /> <br />Public Safety Facilities. Facilities for public safety and emergency services, including <br />police and fire protection. <br /> <br />Public Storage. Storage in small individual spaces exclusively and directly accessible <br />to a specific tenant and offered on a monthly or other limited basis. This classification <br />includes mini-warehouses. <br /> <br />Public Transit Seating Sign. A replaceable panel for non-accessory advertising copy <br />installed upon a fixed or movable bench intended for use by patrons of public transit <br />systems. <br /> <br />Razor/Barbed Wire. A flat metal strip or band with regularly spaced sharp points or <br />barbs and placed in continuous coils or strips on fences, buildings or other structures. <br />Real Estate Offices, Temporary. An office for the marketing, sales, or rental of real <br />property. <br /> <br />Recycling facility. A center for the collection and/or processing of recyclable ma- <br />terials, and includes facilities for the drop-off, buyback, deposit, or return for re- <br />demption, of recyclable material. Recyclable material is reusable material includ- <br />ing but not limited to aluminum, glass, plastic and paper which is intended for <br />remanufacture or reconstitution for the purpose of using the altered form. A recy- <br />cling facility consists of a reverse vending machine, collection facility, or pro- <br />cessing facility, as defined in Section 4-1646 “Recycling Facilities”. A rec ycling <br />collection facility may also consist of a facility for the collection of reusable <br />household goods or clothes by a charitable organization. <br />Recycling Centers. A facility for the recycling of waste paper, bottles, cans, or other <br />materials, including small collection facilities and reverse vending machines. Also see <br />Section 4-1646: Recycling Facilities. <br /> <br />A. Certified.
