Water quality requirements include effluent <br />limitations and waste discharge standards, limitations, or prohibitions whiEh that may be <br />established or adopted by State or Federal laws or regulatory agencies. <br />(bF)—Waters of the City. Waters of the City shall mean any water, surface or <br />underground, including saline waters within the boundaries of the City. <br />(bs) –Waters of the State. Waters of the State shall mean all streams, lakes, <br />ponds, marshes, watercourses, waterways, wells, springs, reservoirs, aquifers, irrigation <br />systems, drainage systems and all other bodies or accumulations of water, surface or <br />underground, natural or artificial, public or private, which are contained within, flow <br />through, or border upon the State or any portion thereof. <br />(bt) –Water Pollution Control Plant. Water Pollution Control Plant shall mean <br />the City of San Leandro WastewaterPOTW Treatment Plant. <br />(-bu)—Abbreviations. The following abbreviations shall have the designated <br />meaning: <br />BOD - <br />Biochemical Oxygen Demand <br />CFR - <br />Code of Federal Regulations <br />COD - <br />Chemical Oxygen Demand <br />L - <br />Liter <br />mg - <br />Milligrams <br />mg/L - <br />Milligrams per liter <br />NPDES - <br />National Pollutant Discharge Elimination <br />System <br />SIC - <br />Standard Industrial Classification <br />TSS - <br />Total Suspended Solids <br />IU - <br />Industrial User <br />ARTICLE 3. SEWER USE REGULATIONS. <br />Section 3-14-300. General Discharge Prohibitions. <br />A User may not introduce into the POTW any pollutant(s) which causes pass <br />through or interference.
