File Number: 14-464 <br />City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: November 17, 2014 <br />Resolution - Council <br />Agenda Section: CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number: <br />TO: <br />City Council <br />FROM: <br />Chris Zapata <br />City Manager <br />BY: <br />David Baum <br />Finance Director <br />FINANCE REVIEW: David Baum <br />Finance Director <br />TITLE: <br />RESOLUTION Declaring as Surplus Seven (7) Vehicles and Four (4) Pieces <br />of Equipment and Authorizing the Sale Thereof at Public Auction (approves <br />the public auction for the surplus of said vehicles and equipment) <br />WHEREAS, Section 1-6-500 of the San Leandro Municipal Code authorizes the City's <br />Purchasing Agent to sell equipment which has become unsuitable or unnecessary for the City <br />purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, seven (7) vehicles have been identified as no longer useful to the City <br />operations and therefore should be declared surplus and sold at auction; and <br />WHEREAS, four (4) pieces of equipment have been identified as no longer useful to <br />the City operations and therefore should be declared surplus and sold at auction; and <br />WHEREAS, the San Leandro and San Lorenzo Unified School Districts have <br />expressed no interest in obtaining any of the vehicles. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />Following public notice as may be required by law and in accordance with Section <br />1-6-500 of the San Leandro Municipal Code the declaration of surplus and authorization of the <br />sale of seven (7) vehicles and four (4) pieces of equipment at public auction by First Capitol <br />Auctions in Vallejo, CA is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, December 12-13, 2014. <br />City of San Leandro Page 1 Printed on 11113/2014 <br />
