Compressed gas cylinders and tanks shall be secured to prevent falling due to contact, <br /> vibration or seismic activity per 2013 California Fire Code §5305.5.3 for acceptable <br /> securing methods. Cylinders can also be stored outside in secure gated and locked <br /> enclosures with the exempt amounts listed in the 2014 California Fire Code Table <br /> 5003.1.1(3). <br /> D. All hazardous waste generated on site shall be handled and disposed of pursuant to <br /> applicable local, state and federal law. <br /> E. Discharge of anything other than rainwater to the stormwater collection system, including <br /> street curb and gutter, is strictly prohibited. <br /> F. The elimination of exposure of materials, processes or equipment to the maximum extent <br /> practicable is necessary to prevent contamination of rainwater. Exposures that cannot be <br /> eliminated require the use of Best Management Practices (BMPs), both engineered and <br /> policy/procedural, to prevent remaining exposures from impacting rainwater, creating <br /> illicit discharges or contaminating receiving surface waters. <br /> G. The generation or discharge of wastewaters, other than domestic sewerage, may require a <br /> pretreatment permit for discharge to the sanitary sewer. If a permit is required, submittal <br /> of an application to the City's Environmental Services is required prior to finaling of the <br /> building permit or commencing the discharge;whichever shall occur first. <br /> Accessible and secure monitoring facilities shall be constructed at the site's final <br /> combined sanitary sewer outfall to allow for the City to periodically install sampling <br /> equipment and collect wastewater samples to determine compliance with the facility's <br /> Pretreatment Permit. <br /> V. FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> A. On plans submitted for building permit approval, provide the occupancy classification of <br /> the tenant space. <br /> B. The project is to conform to the currently adopted codes and standards at the time of <br /> submittal. An applicable code section showing the codes and standards with editions is to <br /> be provided on the plans. <br /> C. Fire alarm plans and fire sprinkler plans are deferred approval items. Note is to be <br /> provided on the plans with this requirement. <br /> VI. PERFORMANCE STANDARDS <br /> A. All uses and activities shall comply with the provisions of the San Leandro Noise <br /> Regulations(Title IV, Chapter 1 of the Municipal Code). <br /> B.
