City of San Leandro <br /> Meeting Date: January 5, 2015 <br /> Staff Report <br /> File Number: 14-533 Agenda Section: CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> Agenda Number: 8.B. <br /> TO: City Council <br /> FROM: Chris Zapata <br /> City Manager <br /> BY: Sandra Spagnoli <br /> Chief of Police <br /> FINANCE REVIEW: David Baum <br /> Finance Director <br /> TITLE: Staff Report for a Resolution Authorizing the increase of an Appropriation for <br /> the Replacement Mobile Hostage Negotiations Team Operation Command <br /> Vehicle from $60,000 to $71,000 from the State Supplemental Law <br /> Enforcement Special Fund <br /> SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> The purpose of this report is to provide the City Council with information regarding the Police <br /> Department's request to increase the replacement cost of the Mobile Hostage Negotiations <br /> Team Operation Command Vehicle from $60,000 to $71,000. <br /> Staff recommends the City Council adopt a resolution authorizing the increase in <br /> appropriation funding for the Mobile Hostage Negotiations Team Operation Command Vehicle <br /> and appropriate an additional $11,000 from Account No. 150-21-011-7410 (State <br /> Supplemental Law Enforcement Special Fund) for the cost and outfitting of the vehicle. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> On February 18, 2014, City Council adopted Resolution No. 2014-015 authorizing the <br /> purchase of a new Mobile Negotiations Team Operation Command Vehicle by appropriating <br /> $60,000 from Account No. 150-21-011-7410 (State Supplemental Law Enforcement Special <br /> Fund) for the cost and outfitting of the vehicle. <br /> On May 8, 2014, the San Leandro Police Department purchased a 2013 Nissan NV High Roof <br /> vehicle for$30,022.78, leaving $29,977.22 for the outfitting of the Mobile Hostage <br /> Negotiations Team Operation Command Vehicle. <br /> Analysis <br /> City of San Leandro Page 1 Printed on 1212212014 <br />
