File Number: 15-268 <br />City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: May 18, 2015 <br />Resolution - Council <br />Agenda Section: CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number: <br />TO: <br />City Council <br />FROM: <br />Chris Zapata <br />City Manager <br />BY: <br />Debbie Pollart <br />Public Works Director <br />FINANCE REVIEW: David Baum <br />Finance Director <br />TITLE: <br />RESOLUTION Approving Amendment No.1 to Non -Professional Services <br />Agreement with George Salinas Tree Preservation for Annual Yarwood <br />Sycamore Tree Trimming in the Amount of $54,832 <br />WHEREAS, an agreement dated May 15, 2012, exists between the City of San Leandro <br />("City") and George Salinas Tree Preservation ("Contractor"), for annual tree trimming/maintenance of <br />City -owned Yarwood Sycamores on major boulevards and adjacent side streets; and <br />WHEREAS, Contractor successfully fulfilled the contract for the past two years without an <br />increase in unit cost; and <br />WHEREAS, City and Contractor desire to amend the agreement to account for Contractor's <br />increased unit cost (per tree), with a resulting total that exceeds $50,000 (but is still substantially lower <br />in cost than the apparent second low bidder); and <br />WHEREAS, Amendment No. 1 to the agreement, a copy of which is attached, has been <br />presented to this City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said amendment to the agreement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: <br />That said amendment is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby <br />authorized. <br />City of San Leandro Page 1 Printed on 511212015 <br />
