Management Team <br />The members of the Management Team and the Board of Directors excel in their <br />relevant business and professional experience and training. They are discussed <br />individually below, and their resumes and an organizational chart are attached. <br />Also attached is a brief discussion of the Advisory Board members who will advise the <br />Management Team and Board on special issues including environmental conservation, <br />security, and community benefits. They do not meet the definition of Management Team <br />but they have committed to being available for advice. <br />Management Team Biographies <br />► LANI FELIX-LOZANO, GENERAL MANAGER <br />Lani has extensive experience in the medical cannabis industry. For the past five years, Lani has <br />worked for Harborside Health Center—the nation's largest, state -legal and locally compliant, <br />nonprofit medical cannabis dispensary with locations in Oakland and San Jose, California. <br />As Facilities and Events Manager and member of the executive management team, Lani is <br />responsible for ensuring code compliance with all City, County and State regulations. Lani has <br />worked directly with officials from Alameda County and the City of Oakland to ensure ongoing <br />compliance to dispensary regulations. Lani has ensured compliance with permit requirements <br />such as facility and ground repairs, signage, and non -patient visitor and contractor reporting and <br />monitoring. In her role of Facilities Manager, she has received and delivered extensive safety <br />training. Lani has been HAZMAT-trained and oversees hazardous materials cleanup and staff <br />trainings. Lani has also received First Aid training, and is CPR certified. As Harborside Health <br />Center's Designated Safety Officer (DSO), Lani has conducted staff training relative to safety and <br />security, as well as disaster preparedness, fire and robbery. She currently holds a bachelor's <br />degree in Business Accounting from the University of Phoenix. <br />► CHRISTOPHER ESPOSITO, HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER <br />Christopher has over 30 years experience as a Human Resource (HR) professional in California. <br />Christopher is presently the Director of HR for Dark Heart Industries in Oakland. Prior to Dark <br />Heart, Christopher spent the past decade working for tech start-ups in the roles of HR and <br />general manager. Christopher is passionate about giving back to the community. His career has <br />toggled between profit and not-for-profit organizations. When he is not working with a non- <br />profit, he is volunteering. Christopher has spent the last 11 years serving on several AIDS-related <br />boards. He spent six years on the board of directors for the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and is <br />presently on the board of directors of Project Inform. Christopher holds a B.S. in Psychology and <br />earned his SPHR in 2010. <br />Christopher has been a supporter of medical cannabis since moving to San Francisco in 1982. <br />He remembers the days in the beginning of the AIDS epidemic when cannabis was the only <br />medicine that helped patients deal with issues such as wasting, nausea and sleep deprivation. <br />He also remembers how cannabis helped his sister who passed away from breast cancer in the <br />Application to Operate a Medical Cannabis Dispensary.
