File Number: 15-709 <br />of that project in a timely manner and was done with a high level of quality. <br />This contract for $86,062 represents our current understanding of the work required. <br />Occasionally, changes to the scope of contracts are necessary to respond to new information <br />and/or to include additional items of work necessary for a complete product. In order to <br />resolve these issues in a timely fashion and avoid delaying work, staff additionally requests <br />authorization to issue individual change orders to the consultant up to 10%, or $8,606 each, <br />and cumulative change orders up to 25%, or $21,515, of the original contract. <br />Current Agency Policies <br />Council Goal D: Maintain and enhance San Leandro’s infrastructure. <br />Applicable General Plan Policies <br />Goal 52: Ensure that local water, sewer, storm drainage, and solid waste facilities are well <br />maintained. <br />Environmental Review <br />A review the California Environmental Quality Act will be done during the design phase. Staff <br />anticipates that this project will be categorically exempt but the project will include mitigation <br />measures should they be required. <br />Summary of Public Outreach Efforts <br />This project is contained entirely within the grounds of the WPCP. No public outreach is <br />planned. <br />Fiscal Impacts <br />The estimated total cost for WPCP Asphalt Replacement Project including design, inspection, <br />and construction is $860,000. <br />The cost of this contract is $86,062. If change orders are necessary, they will not exceed <br />$21,515. <br />Budget Authority <br />This project will be funded by the existing appropriation of $860,000 in account 593-52-258, <br />approved as part of the 2014-15 budget. <br />ATTACHMENT <br />Attachment to Resolution <br />·CSA with Towill, Inc.
