IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2016-045 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING$60,000 OF MEASURE B BICYCLE AND PEDESTRIAN <br /> FUNDS FOR THE WEST JUANA PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT, <br /> PROJECT NO. 2014.0500 <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of San Leandro did on June 1, 2015 award a <br /> construction contract to McGuire and Hester for the West Juana Pedestrian Improvements <br /> Project, Project No. 2014.0500 with the adoption of Resolution No. 2015-102; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Leandro did on September 8, 2015, <br /> authorize an increase in the Contract Change Order Cap of 25% for the construction contract <br /> with McGuire and Hester and; <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Leandro did on June 17, 2013, authorize <br /> the City Manager to execute a Grant Funding Agreement for Measure B Funding, committing <br /> the City to spend the necessary matching funds and to provide assurance to the grantor that the <br /> City would complete the West Juana Pedestrian Improvements Project. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br /> follows: <br /> That an additional $60,000 of Measure B Bicycle and Pedestrian Fund is hereby <br /> appropriated to pay for work deemed necessary to address unknown physical conditions related <br /> to greater than normal asphalt thicknesses that required additional work and off-haul; and <br /> unforeseen conditions involving abandoned and unabandoned utilities that necessitated increased <br /> safety measures to protect life and property; and to expedite the completion of the subject <br /> project. <br /> Introduced by Councilmember Reed and passed and adopted this 18th day of April, 2016, <br /> by the following vote: <br /> Members of the Council: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Cox, Lee, Lopez, Prola, Reed, Thomas; Mayor Cutter (7) <br /> NOES: None (0) <br /> ABSENT: None (0) <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Tamika Greenwood, City Clerk <br />
