<br />4.3.8.1 Public Facilities
<br />For small jurisdictions, a single facility may house all fire or police services. Larger
<br />jurisdictions may have multiple facilities, each with unique roles. When there are multiple
<br />facilities for each department, it is important to know which functions are housed where.
<br />All facilities may be reliant on a single station’s dispatch center, or one facility may house
<br />the only hazardous waste team. Understanding the services each facility is responsible for
<br />is crucial when prioritizing mitigation strategies, or when there are decisions on where
<br />new equipment or services are housed.
