X I LLDA►N <br />Firkir Bal Seruiaes <br />Entryway Landscape <br />The landscape at the entrance to the development along Lewelling Blvd, between Wicks <br />Blvd and the roundabout started in Fiscal Year 2013/2014 and will be completed in Fiscal <br />Year 2016/2017, as part of the overall improvement to the Entryway to Heron Bay District. <br />City Staff is working with Stopwaste.org to investigate the possibility of receiving grant <br />funds to offset portions of the landscape upgrade, with the intent of utilizing Bay Friendly <br />Landscape Guidelines. <br />Trail Maintenance <br />City staff will hire a contractor to complete pavement repairs on two sections of the trail <br />between the foot bridge and San Lorenzo Creek where tree roots have damaged the <br />asphalt. The work will involve digging out small sections of pavement, trimming back tree <br />roots and installing new asphalt patches. <br />Shoreline Signs, Parking and Accessible Walkway <br />In conformance with the City's updated permit with the San Francisco Bay Conservation <br />and Development Commission (BCDC), wayfinding signage, parking, and an accessible <br />walkway will be installed for improved public access to the shoreline trail network. <br />Bench Replacement <br />As part of the upkeep of the district grounds, City staff completed the replacement of the <br />existing rotted wood benches along the pathway with durable concrete benches. This was <br />completed in Fiscal Year 2015/2016 <br />Tide Gate Repair <br />City staff completed repairs to the tide gates, including; the connections between the flap <br />gates and the frames, replacing rutted sections of the drain pipes, reattaching the screen <br />latch connections, replacing damaged screen bars and screens, and installing associated <br />stainless steel lubrication tubings.
