City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: November 7, 2016 <br />Resolution - Council <br />Agenda Section:File Number:16-550 CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number: <br />TO:City Council <br />FROM:Chris Zapata <br />City Manager <br />BY:Keith Cooke <br />Engineering & Transportation Director <br />FINANCE REVIEW:David Baum <br />Finance Director <br />TITLE:RESOLUTION Approving a Consulting Services Agreement with Alta Planning <br />+ Design, Inc., in the amount of $77,038.00 for the Bicycle and Pedestrian <br />Master Plan Update and Authorization for Cumulative Amendments to the <br />CSA up to 25% or $19,259.50 of the Original Agreement and Appropriating <br />$40,000.00 of Measure B Bicycle and Pedestrian Funds for the Project, <br />Project No. 2017.0630 <br />WHEREAS, the City adopted a Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan in January, 2011; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, said Plan must be updated every four to five years in order for the City to <br />retain eligibility for various grant funding programs; and <br />WHEREAS, proposals were sought from consultants who specialize in <br />bicycle/pedestrian planning to assist the City with the Plan update; and <br />WHEREAS, after reviewing proposals from four consultants, staff recommends that <br />Alta Planning + Design, Inc. should be retained for professional and technical planning <br />services for the Plan update in the amount of $77,038.00; and <br />WHEREAS, staff recommends the City Council authorize the City Manager to negotiate <br />and approve amendments to the CSA up to 25% or $19,259.50; and <br />WHEREAS, a Consulting Services Agreement between the City and Alta Planning + <br />Design, Inc., a copy of which is attached, is presented to this City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, awarding an agreement will require a funding appropriation from Measure <br />B Bicycle and Pedestrian Funds in the amount of $40,000.00 to supplement previously <br />appropriated funds for account no. 141-36-351; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents of the agreement; and <br />Page 1 City of San Leandro Printed on 11/1/2016
