City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: November 7, 2016 <br />Resolution - Council <br />Agenda Section:File Number:16-565 CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number: <br />TO:City Council <br />FROM:Chris Zapata <br />City Manager <br />BY:Keith Cooke <br />Engineering & Transportation Director <br />FINANCE REVIEW:David Baum <br />Finance Director <br />TITLE:RESOLUTION Approving a Consulting Services Agreement with Indigo / <br />Hammond & Playle Architects, LLP in the amount of $648,001.85 and <br />Authorizing Contract Change Orders for up to 25% of the Contract Amount, or <br />$162,000.46 for the Police Building and South Offices Modifications Project, <br />Project No. 2014.0481 (provides for construction-ready plans, specifications <br />and cost estimates for improvements to expand the San Leandro Police <br />Department into the South Offices and the remodeling of the space to be <br />made available in the Public Safety Building. Project is funded by account <br />210-18-137 with funds appropriated as part of the fiscal year 2015-16 and <br />2016-17 budgets) <br />WHEREAS, an agreement between the City of San Leandro and Indigo / Hammond & <br />Playle Architects, LLP, a copy of which is attached, is presented to this City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />That said agreement for $648,001.85 is hereby approved and execution by the City <br />Manager is hereby authorized. <br />That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to negotiate and approve individual <br />change orders up to a maximum of $64,800.19, which is 10% of the original contract amount, <br />each; and <br />That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to negotiate and approve <br />cumulative change orders up to a maximum of $162,000.46, which is 25% of the original <br />contract amount. <br />Page 1 City of San Leandro Printed on 11/1/2016
