IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2016-145 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A CONSULTING SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH <br />INDIGO / HAMMOND & PLAYLE ARCHITECTS, LLP IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />$648,001.85 AND AUTHORIZING CONTRACT CHANGE ORDERS FOR UP TO 25% OF <br />THE CONTRACT AMOUNT, OR $162,000.46 FOR THE POLICE BUILDING AND <br />SOUTH OFFICES MODIFICATIONS PROJECT, PROJECT NO. 2014.0481 (PROVIDES <br />FOR CONSTRUCTION -READY PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND COST ESTIMATES <br />FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO EXPAND THE SAN LEANDRO POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />INTO THE SOUTH OFFICES AND THE REMODELING OF THE SPACE TO BE MADE <br />AVAILABLE IN THE PUBLIC SAFETY BUILDING. PROJECT IS FUNDED BY <br />ACCOUNT 210-18-137 WITH FUNDS APPROPRIATED AS PART OF THE FISCAL <br />YEAR 2015-16 AND 2016-17 BUDGETS) <br />WHEREAS, an agreement between the City of San Leandro and Indigo / Hammond & <br />Playle Architects, LLP, a copy of which is attached, is presented to this City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof, and <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />That said agreement for $648,001.85 is hereby approved and execution by the City <br />Manager is hereby authorized. <br />That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to negotiate and approve individual <br />change orders up to a maximum of $64,800.19, which is 10% of the original contract amount, <br />each; and <br />That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to negotiate and approve cumulative <br />change orders up to a maximum of $162,000.46, which is 25% of the original contract amount. <br />Introduced by Councilmember Cox and passed and adopted this 7th day of November, <br />2016, by the following vote: <br />Members of the Council: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Cox, Lopez, Prola, Reed, Lee, Thomas; Mayor Cutter (7) <br />NOES: None (0) <br />ABSENT: None (0) <br />ATTEST: <br />Tamika Greenwood, City Clerk <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2016-145 <br />
