City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: May 15, 2017 <br />Resolution - Council <br />Agenda Section:File Number:17-226 CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number: <br />TO:City Council <br />FROM:Chris Zapata <br />City Manager <br />BY:Keith Cooke <br />Engineering & Transportation Director <br />FINANCE REVIEW:David Baum <br />Finance Director <br />TITLE:Resolution to Approve Consulting Services Agreements with DKS Associates, <br />Fehr & Peers, and W-Trans, for On-Call Transportation Engineering <br />Consulting Services in an Amount Not-to-Exceed $100,000 Within Each <br />12-Month Period For Three Years with Each Firm <br />WHEREAS, the Transportation Engineering Division of the Engineering and <br />Transportation Department evaluates, plans, designs, procures, integrates, and implements <br />traffic control and calming devices; bicycle and pedestrian facilities; and public parking <br />facilities to meet the multi-modal transportation needs within the City of San Leandro; and <br />WHEREAS, the Transportation Engineering Division seeks to provide timely and <br />efficient services to residents, developers, and the Project Development Division of the <br />Engineering & Transportation Department; and <br />WHEREAS, staff issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) seeking transportation <br />engineering consulting firms that can assist with transportation and traffic engineering projects <br />as needed; and <br />WHEREAS, after reviewing proposals from seven consultants, staff recommends that <br />DKS Associates, Fehr & Peers, and W-Trans should be individually retained to provide on-call <br />consulting services in amounts not-to-exceed $100,000 each within 12-month periods for <br />three consecutive years; and <br />WHEREAS, staff recommends that the City Council authorize the City Manager to <br />enter Consulting Services Agreements between the City and each of the recommended for <br />selection consulting firms, copies of which are attached and presented to this City Council; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, a blanket purchase order will be requested for each individual consulting <br />firm as tasks are assigned.
