City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: July 17, 2017 <br />Resolution - Council <br />Agenda Section:File Number:17-367 CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number: <br />TO:City Council <br />FROM:Chris Zapata <br />City Manager <br />BY:Jeff Tudor <br />Chief of Police <br />FINANCE REVIEW:David Baum <br />Finance Director <br />TITLE:RESOLUTION Authorizing the City Manager to Enter into a Sole Source <br />Procurement to Match Existing Equipment and Servicing of the Police <br />Department’s Fleet and a Non-Professional Services Agreement for a Not to <br />Exceed Amount for Fiscal Year 2017-18 of $243,600 and for 2018-19 of <br />$243,600 with Priority 1 Public Safety Equipment Installation Incorporated for <br />Maintaining, Servicing, and Outfitting all Police Fleet Vehicles. <br />WHEREAS, an agreement between the City of San Leandro and Priority 1 Public <br />Safety Equipment Installation Incorporated, a copy of which is attached, was presented to this <br />City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council previously approved in Resolution 2015-173 a sole source <br />agreement with Priority 1 Public Safety Equipment Installation Incorporated through Fiscal <br />Year 2017; and <br />WHEREAS, the City annually replaces police vehicles according to a replacement <br />schedule; and <br />WHEREAS, staff identified a service provider that can outfit to police specifications, <br />maintain, and service all Police Department vehicles; and <br />WHEREAS, a sole source procurement is justified under California Public Contract <br />Code section 3400 for Priority 1 Public Safety Equipment Installation, Incorporated <br />because the equipment and services provided by vendor must match the equipment on <br />the City's existing vehicles; and <br />Page 1 City of San Leandro Printed on 7/11/2017 <br />351
