Il/ Full-time employees assigned to the Jailer classification who prior to January 1, 1981 regularly performed jail attendant duties including booking and prisoner processing, and who as of January 1, 1981 were receiving a five percent (5%) pay differential shall continue to receive said differential. No additional five percent (5%) pay differentials will be granted to employees assigned to Jailer duties. 12/ For the period commencing July 1, 1995, full-time Administrative Specialist -Police and Police Services Aides, Public Safety Dispatchers, Jailers, and the Property and Evidence Technician who are required to maintain uniforms shall be allowed a uniform allowance of Three Hundred Sixty-five Dollars ($365) per fiscal year. 13/ For the period March 1, 4-9}Fi 1998 through February 28, 4999 2001, Police Officers assigned as canine handlers shall receive a five percent (5%) pay differential when the officer and dog are certified as a team and are functioning and on duty as a team in police patrol. Police Officers utilizing bilingual skills shall be paid an additional Twenty Dollars ($20) per day while performing that duty. 16/ For members of the San Leandro Police Officers Association, the City will amend its PERS contract to provide the fourth level of the 1959 survivor benefit as a negotiated part of the contract commencing March 1, 1996.
