City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: November 20, 2017 <br />Resolution - Council <br />Agenda Section:File Number:17-646 CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number: <br />TO:City Council <br />FROM:Chris Zapata <br />City Manager <br />BY:Keith Cooke <br />Engineering & Transportation Director <br />FINANCE REVIEW:David Baum <br />Finance Director <br />TITLE:RESOLUTION to Increase the Maximum Contract Change Order Percentage <br />from 25% to 40% (from $64,623 to $103,396, an increase of $38,773) for <br />Purchase Order No. 55997 with WRECO for Design Services Related to the <br />Annual Overlay / Rehabilitation 2016-17 Project, Project No. 2017.0050 <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro did on November 7, 2016 award a $258,490 <br />contract for design services to WRECO by Resolution No. 2017-122 for the Annual Overlay / <br />Rehabilitation 2016-17 project, Project No. 2017.0050; and <br />WHEREAS, the City desires to expand the scope of the project to include the design of <br />sidewalk bulb outs as well other safety improvements for pedestrians and vehicles. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to negotiate and approve cumulative <br />change orders up to a maximum of $103,396, which is 40% of the original contract amount of <br />$258,490. <br />Page 1 City of San Leandro Printed on 11/13/2017 <br />229
