Non-Professional Services Agreement between City of San Leandro and <br />RTC Construction Management, Inc. for WPCP Pipe Removal & Relocation Project Page 15 of 20 <br />EXHIBIT A <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />This project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to perform the following: <br />Work: <br />Remove, relocate, and replace piping at the City of San Leandro’s Water Pollution Control Plant, 3000 Davis Street, <br />San Leandro, CA 94577. There are four distinct sections of this work labeled Location 1, Location 2, Thickener <br />Drain, and Sludge Line. It is expected that all bidders have performed work on wastewater treatment plants or <br />pipelines and are familiar with common industry practices. <br />General: <br />All removed concrete, asphalt, and piping must be disposed of off sight. All Soil can be disposed of on site with area <br />to be designated by plant staff. Some transportation of soil will be required within the facility. No asphalt patch/repair <br />will be required as part of this project. All excavations shall be brought to grade using compacted class 2 base rock. <br />Existing pipelines are in service, all work must be scheduled with plant staff to allow facilities to be bypassed or taken <br />offline for tie in and or blinding work. Plant staff will be responsible for taking systems offline. Normal amounts of <br />wastewater related material can be expected in offline pipes, Contractor can pump material to nearby drains in order <br />to clear lines for work. <br />Notes: <br />This is a prevailing wage rate job. <br />A Class “A” —General Engineering Contractor California State Contractor’s license is required to do this work. <br />Hours of Work: Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. <br />Contractor must begin work within thirty (30) days after receiving the Notice to Proceed. <br />Location 1:Consists of: <br />Cutting and blind flanging existing 24” steel, 16” steel and 8” ductile below grade. <br />Removal of existing concrete equipment pad. <br />Removal of existing bollards. <br />Steel lines shall be cut below grade, steel slip flanges shall be welded to pipes, all interior and exterior exposed <br />surfaces shall be prepared as recommended by coating manufacturer and coated in a two part epoxy paint, blind <br />flanges shall be coated and installed with 1/8” neoprene gaskets and stainless steel hardware. <br />Ductile lines shall be cut below grade and blind flanged using Ebba Iron Megaflange adapters and ductile iron blind <br />flanges installed with 1/8” neoprene gaskets and stainless steel hardware. <br />Location 2:Consists of: <br />Cutting and blind flanging existing 12” steel and 8” ductile below grade. <br />Removal of existing bollards. <br />Steel lines shall be cut below grade, steel slip flanges shall be welded to pipes, all interior and exterior exposed <br />surfaces shall be prepared as recommended by coating manufacturer and coated in a two part epoxy paint, blind <br />flanges shall be coated and installed with 1/8” neoprene gaskets and stainless steel hardware. <br />Ductile lines shall be cut below grade and blind flanged using Ebba Iron Megaflange adapters and ductile iron blind <br />flanges installed with 1/8” neoprene gaskets and stainless steel hardware. <br />219
