Non-Professional Services Agreement between City of San Leandro and <br />RTC Construction Management, Inc. for WPCP Pipe Removal & Relocation Project Page 16 of 20 <br />Thickener Drain:Consists of: <br />Removal of existing buried 12” cast/ductile iron line form 1’ outside concrete structure to 1’ from tie in to plant main <br />drain line. <br />Installation of new drain consisting of c-900 dr-14 pipe with ductile iron mj fittings. Tie drain line into existing <br />cast/ductile line at each end using Romac xr-501 or equal couplings. Wrap and tape all exposed ferrous metal with <br />poly wrap. Bed and backfill line with import sand to 6” above pipe. Compaction by water jetting is allowed. <br />Two existing bollards are directly over the line, they shall be removed prior to installation and reinstalled after <br />installation. <br />Sludge Line:Consists of: <br />Removal of existing above grade 6” sludge line, blind flange existing locations. Removal of existing sidewalk. Installation <br />of new buried sludge valve from above ground flanged connection point to two below grade connection points. <br />Installation of new buried service Dezurik PEC plug valves with 2” op nut and g5 christy box at grade. New line shall be <br />6” c-900 dr-14 with mj fittings. Entire line shall be restrained using Ebaa iron megalug mj glands and 2800 series bell <br />restraints. Line shall remain within 36” of the existing concrete structure and run in a similar layout as the existing above <br />grade line. Connections to existing below grade lines shall be via mj barrels or flange connects if available in existing <br />system. All flanges shall have 1/8” neoprene gaskets and stainless steel hardware. All buried ferrous parts shall be <br />wrapped and taped with poly. Bed and backfill line with import sand to 6” above pipe. Compaction by water jetting is <br />allowed. Exposed tie in shall be flanged ductile iron, painted with two part epoxy. <br />220
