File Number: 17-019 <br />A categorical exemption from CEQA per Section 15301 for ‘Existing Facilities’ was filed <br />with the Alameda County Recorder’s Office for this project on October 2, 2015. <br />Summary of Public Outreach Efforts <br />·The project was described on the Engineering and Transportation Department <br />website. <br />Fiscal Impacts <br />The total project cost was $606,000, which includes design, construction, and construction <br />administration. <br />A summary of the construction contract with Century Carpet is below: <br />Original Contract $517,885.00 <br />Change Orders $ 75,235.20 (14.5%) <br />Total Contract Amount $593,120.20 <br />Major change orders on the construction contract included: additional painting (bookstore, <br />café and lobby), self-leveling underlayment installation and stage removal (Karp/Estudillo <br />room), purchasing additional maintenance stock of replacement carpet tiles, and replacing <br />resilient flooring with Flotex (Karp/Estudillo room). <br />Budget Authority <br />Project funding was from the following accounts: <br />Account No. Source FY/Approp Date.Amount <br />210-38-372 CIP funds Res. 2015-100, FY 2015-16 $542,000 <br />210-38-372 CIP funds Res. 2016-143, FY 2016-17 $50,000 <br />687-18-007 Facility Maint.
