208 ~ CiTY OF SAN LEANDRO BiCYCLE & PEDESTRiAN MASTER PLAN <br />with disabilities, through safer and improved public access, as part of and <br />compatible with wildlife habitat restoration projects in and around the Bay: <br />A) Construct new, repair existing and/or replace deteriorating public access <br />trails, signs, and related facilities along the shoreline and manage these public <br />access facilities and B) Provide interpretive materials and special outreach <br />events about pollution prevention, wildlife habitat, public access, and flood <br />protection, to protect the Bay’s health and encourage community engagement. <br />Minimum/Maximum Grant Amounts: TBD <br />Required Local Match: TDB <br />Website: http://sfbayrestore.org/sf-bay-restoration-authority-grants.php <br />Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) <br />ONE BAY AREA GRANT PROGRAM 2 <br />One Bay Area integrated the region’s federal transportation program with <br />California’s climate laws and the Sustainable Communities Strategy, by targeting <br />funding to Priority Development Areas (PDAs), Priority Conservation Areas <br />(PCAs), and Climate initiatives while maintaining commitments to existing <br />transportation priorities. Known as OBAG 2 for short, the second round of <br />OBAG funding is projected to total roughly $916 million to fund projects from <br />2017-18 through 2021-22. The OBAG 2 program is divided into a Regional <br />Program, managed by MTC, and County Program, managed by the nine Bay <br />Area Congestion Management Agencies (CMAs). <br />The County Program will provide over $386 million over five years. Cities <br />and counties can invest in: local street and road maintenance, streetscape <br />enhancements, bicycle and pedestrian improvements, safe routes to school <br />projects, priority conservation areas, and transportation planning.
