Annual <br />funding in the amount of $7.5M is needed to maintain our current system and prevent <br />the backlog from growing. City has seen a slight reduction in street repair costs due to <br />the use of rubberized cape seals and cement treated soil. Additional innovations may <br />further reduce costs but aren’t likely to significantly impact the magnitude of our <br />backlog. There is no known funding source for the backlog work and thus it is highly <br />desirable to prevent the backlog from growing. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />43
