City of San Leandro Alvarado Commerce Center Project
16
spillover would not occur past approximately 40 feet outside of the project site. There are no
adjacent or nearby light-sensitive receptors that would be directly affected by lighting at the site
and light would not substantially affect nighttime views. Lighting impacts would be less than
significant.
Potential sources of glare associated with the project involve building materials and vehicles parked
in the parking areas on the western, southern, and eastern portions of the project site. However,
these sources of glare would be similar to existing sources of glare on the site and its surroundings
and would be consistent with other uses in the area. Further, the project would be required to
adhere to the glare standards in the City’s Zoning Code Section 4-1670.D, which requires highly
reflective glass not cover more than 20 percent of a building’s surface visible from a street.
Therefore, impacts would be less than significant.
LESS THAN SIGNIFICANT IMPACT
313
