IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2018-044 <br /> RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A CONSULTING SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH <br /> GLASS ARCHITECTS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $306,310 FOR THE <br /> PREPARATION OF CONSTRUCTION-READY PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND <br /> ESTIMATES FOR FAMILY AQUATICS CENTER COMPETITION POOL, PROJECT <br /> NO.2018.0170; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND <br /> APPROVE INDIVIDUAL CHANGE ORDERS UP TO 10% (OR$30,631) AND <br /> CUMULATIVE CHANGE ORDERS UP TO 25% (OR$76,578) OF THE ORIGINAL <br /> CONTRACT AMOUNT; AND AMEND THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO BUDGET FOR <br /> THE FAMILY AQUATICS CENTER COMPETITION POOL AND FARRELLY POOL <br /> REPLACEMENT PROJECTS <br /> WHEREAS,an agreement between the City of San Leandro and Glass Architects, a copy <br /> of which is attached,was presented to this City Council; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council approved the Fiscal Year 2017-18 and 2018-19 biennial <br /> budget on June 5, 2017 by Resolution No. 17-236; and <br /> WHEREAS the City Manager recommends approval of funding transfers between fiscal <br /> years for the Family Aquatics Center Competition Pool and Farrelly Pool Replacement; and <br /> WHEREAS, the requested transfers are budget neutral over two years with respect to the <br /> total amount of money budgeted each year and will not impact the project schedule for the Farrelly <br /> Pool Replacement; and <br /> WHEREAS,the requested funding transfers will allow the Family Aquatics Center <br /> Competition Pool project to commence in Fiscal Year 2017-18 rather than Fiscal Year 2018-19. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br /> follows: <br /> 1. That said agreement is hereby approved in an amount not to exceed $306,310 and <br /> execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized; and <br /> 2. That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to negotiate and approve <br /> individual change orders up to a maximum of 10%of the original contract amount, or <br /> $30,361; and <br /> 3. That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to negotiate and approve <br /> cumulative change orders up to a maximum of 25% of the original contract amount, <br />
