City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: July 23, 2018 <br />Resolution - Council <br />Agenda Section:File Number:18-097 CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number: <br />TO:City Council <br />FROM:Jeff Kay <br />Acting City Manager <br />BY:Keith Cooke <br />Engineering & Transportation Director <br />FINANCE REVIEW:David Baum <br />Finance Director <br />TITLE:RESOLUTION to Approve a Consulting Services Agreement with Noll & Tam <br />Architects for Design Services for the Mulford-Marina Branch Library, Project <br />2018.2400; Authorizing the City Manager to Make Non-substantial Revisions to <br />the Agreement; Authorizing the City Manager to Negotiate and Approve <br />Individual Contract Amendments up to 10% and Cumulative Contract <br />Amendments up to 25% of the Original Contract Amount; and Appropriating <br />$150,000 for the project (provides for design services for replacement of the <br />existing library with a new facility at the same location) <br />WHEREAS, an agreement between the City of San Leandro and Noll & Tam Architects, a <br />copy of which is attached, was presented to this City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, the cost associated with the Mulford-Marina Branch Library shall be <br />reimbursed to the City’s General Fund upon issuance of proposed lease revenue bonds in FY <br />18-19; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the scope of work; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />That said agreement substantially in the form presented is hereby approved and <br />execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized; and <br />That the City Manager is authorized to make non-substantial revisions to said agreement, <br />subject to the approval of the City Attorney; and <br />That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to negotiate and approve individual <br />Page 1 City of San Leandro Printed on 7/17/2018
