City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: July 23, 2018 <br />Resolution - Council <br />Agenda Section:File Number:18-324 CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number: <br />TO:City Council <br />FROM:Jeff Kay <br />Acting City Manager <br />BY:Keith Cooke <br />Engineering & Transportation Director <br />FINANCE REVIEW:David Baum <br />Finance Director <br />TITLE:RESOLUTION of the City Council for the City of San Leandro to Approve a <br />Consulting Services Agreement for $673,000 with BKF Engineers for Design <br />Services for the Annual Street Overlay/Rehabilitation 2018-19, Project No. <br />2019.0050; Authorization for the City Manager to Negotiate and Approve <br />Individual Contract Amendments Up to 5% of the Original Contract Amount; and <br />Authorization for the City Manager to Negotiate and Approve Contract <br />Amendments Up to a Cumulative Value of 25% of the Original Contract Amount <br />(provides for City Manager's authorization to enter into an agreement with BKF <br />Engineers to prepare the surveys and designs for the Annual Street <br />Overlay/Rehabilitation 2018-19 project) <br />WHEREAS, an agreement between the City of San Leandro and BKF Engineers, a copy <br />of which is attached, was presented to this City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />That said agreement is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby <br />authorized; and <br />That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to negotiate and approve individual <br />contract amendments up to a maximum of $33,650, which is 5% of the original contract amount, <br />each; and <br />That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to negotiate and approve cumulative <br />contract amendments up to a maximum of $168,250, which is 25% of the original contract <br />Page 1 City of San Leandro Printed on 7/20/2018
