The property owner will be called immediately and directed to mediate the problem. If no response from the <br />property owner the Coast Guard, Fish and Wildlife, or Sheriffs Department will be alerted to call the property owner. <br />5. Application Questionnaire <br />1.Does your agency have an active local enforcement program tasked with addressing <br />abandoned vessels in your jurisdiction? <br />Yes No <br />If yes, explain in detail. If no, elaborate on <br />your agency’s efforts to create a program or if <br />you utilize enforcement services from another <br />agency and how. <br />US Coast Guard, Office of Emergency Services, and Fish and <br />Game are notified if the vessel is in danger of sinking or is <br />releasing fuel or oil. If the vessel damages city property or <br />another owners property the City of San Leandro Police <br />Department is called and in some cases the Coast Guard. <br />Alameda County Fire Department and Alameda County Sheriff <br />may also be involved if necassary. <br />2.Does your agency have a submerged navigational hazard abatement plan (SNHAP)? <br />This may include: 1) An established internal process outlining procedures to prevent, <br />mitigate and process abandoned vessels; 2) Bylaws, regulations, or ordinances that help <br />prevent or mitigate abandoned vessels. <br />Yes No <br />If Yes, provide plan documentation.
