EXHIBIT A <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />Contractor shall provide direct legal assistance to San Leandro families. Services shall include protection <br />for domestic violence victims from the loss of their residence, the return of the batterer and family <br />disintegration (i.e. loss of child custody) and the obtainment of court orders. Services may also include <br />housing service and in-kind crisis counseling. Contractor shall provide legal and/or protective services to a <br />minimum of 12 San Leandro residents during the period of July — December and an additional 12 San <br />Leandro residents during the period of January — June. <br />More specifically, services shall include: <br />- Direct legal assistance to at least 24 San Leandro families experiencing domestic violence. These <br />services protect victims from the loss of their residence, return of the batterer and family <br />disintegration (i.e. loss of child custody). At least 5 domestic violence victims will receive <br />assistance in obtaining court orders. <br />- Housing services, such as obtaining kick out orders as part of restraining orders, assistance in <br />obtaining funds to relocate, and emergency housing services to at least 10 San Leandro residents <br />who are experiencing domestic violence. These services enable victims to permanently leave an <br />abuse relationship without becoming homeless. <br />- In-kind crisis counseling, safety planning, assistance with Victims of Crime applications and/or <br />service referrals to at least 10 San Leandro victims of domestic violence. These services help <br />abuse victims stay safe and help connect them with FVLC's longer-term legal and counseling <br />services. These services will be funded by multiple other sources. <br />Contractor shall meet the following timelines: <br />July — September 2018: <br />Provide legal and/or protective services to 6 San Leandro residents. <br />October — December 2018: <br />Provide legal and/or protective services to 6 San Leandro residents. <br />January — March 2019: <br />Provide legal and/or protective services to 6 San Leandro residents. <br />April — June 2019: <br />Provide legal and/or protective services to 6 San Leandro residents <br />Consulting Services Agreement between City of San Leandro and Last revised July 1, 2018 <br />Family Violence Law Center for Community Assistance Program (CAP) Grant Exhibit A <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />
