DISCUSSION ITEMS <br />2.A. 18-617 Staff Update on Implementation of the Community Workforce Agreement <br />Administrative Service Manager Kurry Foley provided an update on implementation of the <br />Community Workforce Agreement. <br /> <br />Committee Requests/Direction to Staff: <br />Council Member Lopez would like to know how many apprenticeships programs are available for <br />San Leandro residents. <br />Vice Mayor Cox would like to propose outreach opportunities at local schools and would like to <br />provide resources to workers displaced out of their jobs. <br />Mayor Cutter would like to look at opportunities to partner with local businesses to provide <br />resources and current opportunities throughout the community. <br /> <br />2.B.18-613 Consideration of Gas Tax Expenditures in Fiscal Year 2019 for New <br />Paving-Related Equipment Purchase <br />Director of Public Works Debbie Pollart provided an update on planned FY2019 Gas Tax <br />expenditures for new paving-related equipment purchase. <br /> <br />Committee Requests/Direction to Staff: <br />The grinder option suggested by Public Works will be brought to the City Council for <br />consideration. <br />2.C. 18-616 Review of Proposal for a Non-Exclusive License Agreement with PropSF <br />for Non-Exclusive Access to the Wes McClure Public Boat Launch and <br />Associated Parking to Conduct a Pilot Project for a Daily Private Charter Ferry Service at <br />the San Leandro Shoreline. <br />Economic Development Manager Katie Bowman presented a proposal for a non-exclusive <br />license agreement with PropSF for access to the Wes McClure Public Boat Launch and <br />associated parking to conduct a pilot project for a daily private charter ferry service at the San <br />Leandro Shoreline. <br /> <br />Page 2 City of San Leandro Printed on 1/17/2019
