File Number: 18-615 <br />Committee Requests/Direction to Staff: <br />Mayor Cutter is concerned about the parking impacts as the golf course is nearby. <br />Vice Mayor Cox would like the committee to look at parking fees and transportation solutions <br />when development at the Marina occurs in the future. <br />Council Member Lopez would like to look at the parking lot for spots and demarcation for boats <br />and cars. She addressed the poor condition of the parking lot and suggested that the area be <br />repaved. She also suggested charging fees or establishing permit parking. <br />Mayor Cutter requested more information regarding the expected number of parked cars, data on <br />impacts to wildlife in the area, and research into options for daily parking fees or a shuttle system. <br /> <br />2.D.18-618 Staff Update on Land Use Projects <br />Updates on Land Use projects were not presented during the meeting. <br />2.E.18-619 Staff Update on Project Development Projects <br />Updates on Project Development projects were not presented during the meeting. <br />2.E.18-620 Discussion Regarding Future Agenda Items <br />Next Facility and Transportation meeting will be scheduled in January. Future items to include: <br />·Neptune Drive FEMA Flood Control Project <br />·ACTC Transportation Improvement Plan <br />·Eden Road <br />·Neighborhood Traffic Calming Program <br />·Crosswalk Request and Recommendations <br />·Bicycle Network - West <br />3. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />Resident Fred Simon was supportive of the PropSF project but voiced concerns about cars <br />parked too long in the parking area. He also provided recommendations if modifications are <br />considered. <br />Resident Virginia Madsen expressed concerns regarding traffic coming in and out to access to <br />the San Leandro Shoreline. <br />Economic Development Manager Katie Bowman read comments received regarding the San <br />Leandro Shoreline and proposed ferry service. <br />4. COMMITTEE MEMBER COMMENTS <br />Land Use and Project Development Projects status updates will be presented in the next <br />Facilities & Transportation meeting scheduled in January since there was not a full quorum at the <br />time assigned on the meeting agenda since Mayor Cutter and Vice Mayor Cox departed early. <br />5.
