Reso 81-6 C?� <br />5' AGREEMENT <br />• This Agreement made and entered into.on this 19th day of <br />January, 1981, by and between the CITY OF SAN LEANDRO, a municipal <br />corporation, hereinafter designated as "City", and the SAN LEANDRO <br />UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT of Alameda County, State of California, here- <br />inafter designated as "District", <br />Recitals <br />The parties hereto are authorized by Chapter 6, Division 12, <br />of the Education Code of the State of California to organize, promote, <br />and conduct adequate programs of community recreation, which contri- <br />bute to the attainment of general educational and recreational objec- <br />tives of the people of this State, the preservation and promotion of <br />the health and general welfare, and cultivation of good citizenship. <br />doThe parties hereto are authorized to enter into agreements with <br />each other to carry out the aforementioned purposes and may do any <br />and all things necessary or convenient to aid and cooperate in <br />carrying out said purposes. <br />The maintenance and operation of a community recreation park <br />adjoining and immediately south of the Thomas Jefferson School <br />playground, are needed in the City of San Leandro and will help <br />accomplish the aforementioned purposes. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto mutually agree for and in <br />consideration of the premises and covenants herein contained: <br />1. That District does by .these presents lease; demise, and <br />let unto City the following described property situated in the City <br />• of San Leandro, County of Alameda, State of California, to wit: <br />
