COMMUNITY PROFILE <br />Transportation <br />San Leandro’s central location provides easy access to Highways 580 and 880, which <br />are at the heart of the Bay Area’s extensive highway system. These freeways extend to <br />the nearby cities of Oakland, San Francisco, Sacramento, and San Jose, as well as the <br />Central Valley. <br />Alameda-Contra Costa (AC) Transit provides regional bus service. <br />Two Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) stations in the City connect San Leandro with San <br />Francisco and cities in four county areas. <br />San Leandro LINKS is a shuttle bus program for transporting employees and residents <br />throughout San Leandro to and from the San Leandro BART station. <br />Three nearby international airports link San Leandro residents and businesses with <br />every destination in the world.
