as published by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, <br />adopted by reference and made a part hereof as if fully set forth herein at length, to be <br />known as the City of San Leandro "Mechanical Code;" and <br />Article 8 of Chapter 5 of Title VII of the San Leandro Municipal Code, "California Fire <br />Code," is hereby repealed and replaced in its entirety by Article 8, Chapter 5 of Title VII <br />of the San Leandro Municipal Code, the 2019 California Fire Code, as published by the <br />International Code Council, adopted by reference as if fully set forth herein at length, and <br />by the document attached hereto and made a part hereof, to be known as the City of San <br />Leandro "Fire Code." <br />SECTION 2. EFFECTIVE DATE <br />The effective date of this ordinance shall be January 1, 2020. <br />SECTION 3. SEVERABILITY <br />The City Council hereby declares that every section, paragraph, clause and phrase of this <br />Ordinance, and all Ordinance text adopted by reference, are severable. If, for any reason, <br />any section, paragraph, clause or phrase is held to be invalid or unconstitutional, such <br />invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity or constitutionality of the <br />remaining sections, paragraphs, clauses or phrases. <br />SECTION 4. PUBLICATION <br />The City Clerk for the City of San Leandro shall publish this Ordinance in accordance <br />with all laws and regulations governing the publication of ordinances that pertain to the <br />adoption of the California Building Standards Code. <br />Introduced by Councilmember Lopez and passed to print this 21" day of October <br />2019, by the following called vote: <br />Members of the Council: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Aguilar, Ballew, Cox, Hernandez, Lee, Mayor Cutter (6) <br />NOES: None (0) <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Lopez (1) <br />
