File Number: 20-034 <br />·3% increase effective January 1, 2020 <br />·3% increase effective January 1, 2021 <br />·3% increase effective January 1, 2022 <br />Health Benefits <br />Effective January 1, 2020, the City’s contribution to medical benefits will increase to the amount <br />equivalent to the 2020 Kaiser premium. Annually thereafter, SLPMA employees will share the <br />cost of health premiums and pay 30% of the annual increase of Kaiser premium rates. <br />Deferred Compensation <br />The City will match an employee contribution into his/her deferred compensation 457 account up <br />to 1% of base salary in 2020 and 1.75% in 2021. <br />Specialty Pays <br />·Education Incentive Pay will increase by 1% in 2020 and 1% in 2021 for a maximum 6% of <br />base salary for employees who have obtained their POST Supervisory certification and <br />8% for employees who have obtained their POST Management certification. <br />·Bilingual Pay will increase from $185 to $200 per month. <br />Administrative Leave <br />The City will provide an administrative leave bank of 50 hours per calendar year for each <br />employee. <br />Previous Action <br />·On December 21, 2015, by Resolution No. 2015-198, the City Council approved the prior <br />SLPMA MOU for the period July 1, 2015 through December 31, 2019. <br />Fiscal Impacts <br />The tentative agreement will result in a budgetary impact to the City’s General Fund of <br />approximately $1,089,440 for the term of the MOU.
