A sign designed for the purpose of soliciting support of, or opposition to, a <br />candidate or proposition at a public election. <br /> <br />Sign, Portable. Any movable sign not permanently attached to the ground or a building, <br />including, but not limited to, stick signs, A-frame signs, or pennant signs. <br /> <br />Sign, Projecting. A sign which is attached to and projects from the structure or building <br />face and is not parallel to the structure to which it is attached. <br /> <br />Sign, Public Service Information. Any sign intended primarily to promote items of general <br />interest to the community such as time, temperature, date, atmospheric conditions, news or <br />traffic control, including warning signs. <br /> <br />Sign, Real Estate. Any temporary sign pertaining to the sale, exchange, lease, or rental of <br />land or buildings. <br /> <br />Sign, Roof. Any sign erected upon, against, or directly above a roof or above the parapet <br />of a building. <br /> <br />Sign, Rotating. Any sign or portion thereof, which physically revolves about an axis. <br /> <br />Sign, Special Events. A temporary sign advertising or pertaining to any civic, patriotic, or <br />special event of general public interest taking place within the City. <br /> <br />Sign, Temporary. A sign, which is installed for a limited time. <br /> <br />Sign, Temporary Window. A sign painted or constructed of paper or other lightweight ma- <br />terial and affixed to the interior or exterior side of a window or glass area on a building for a <br />limited time. <br /> <br />Sign, Under-Canopy. A sign installed under a canopy, awning, or marquee. <br /> <br />Sign, Wall. Any sign posted or painted or suspended from or otherwise affixed to the wall <br />of any building or structure in an essentially flat position, or with the exposed face of the <br />sign in a plane approximately parallel to the plane of such wall.
