City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: October 5, 2020 <br />Resolution - Council <br />Agenda Section:File Number:20-433 CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number: <br />TO:City Council <br />FROM:Jeff Kay <br />City Manager <br />BY:City Council <br />FINANCE REVIEW:Susan Hsieh <br />Finance Director <br />TITLE:RESOLUTION of the City of San Leandro City Council Authorizing the City <br />Manager to Execute a Consulting Services Agreement with MuniServices/Avenu <br />Insights & Analytics for Cannabis Business Audit Services and Approve <br />Appropriation of Funds from the General Fund Unrestricted Fund Balance <br />Reserves for $102,000 to be Paid for by Annual Cannabis Businesses <br />Dispensary Operating Permit Fees <br />WHEREAS, in response to a competitive Request for Proposals (RFP) process, <br />MuniServices/Avenu Insights & Analytics submitted a proposal to the City of San Leandro (“City”) <br />to provide consulting services for cannabis business audit services; and <br />WHEREAS, the City wants to enter into a consulting services agreement with <br />MuniServices/Avenu Insights & Analytics, based upon their distinct subject matter expertise, as <br />well as San Leandro-specific knowledge that was obtained through past work experience <br />providing consulting and project management support to the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents of the proposed consulting <br />services agreement and scope of work, a copy of which is attached to this Resolution. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />That the City Council approves, and the City Manager is authorized to execute a <br />Consulting Services Agreement with MuniServices/Avenu Insights & Analytics in an amount not to <br />exceed $102,000 over two years for strategic consulting services for cannabis business audits; <br />and <br />The City Council approves an appropriation of $102,000 from the General Fund <br />Unrestricted Fund Balance Reserves to account 010-12-020-5120 for two years.
