11 Project Name Rental Assistance Program <br />Target Area City-Wide <br />Goals Supported Community Development Needs Goals <br />Needs Addressed Community Development Needs - Public Services <br />Funding CDBG-CV Round I: $451,972 <br />CDBG-CV Round III: $711,206 <br />Description The City of San Leandro will establish a Rental Assistance Program <br />benefiting low- and moderate- income households (CDBG definition <br /><80% of the Area Median Income) who face eviction or financial <br />hardship as a result of COVID-19. The goal of this program is to <br />maintain housing stability of San Leandro residents. Current HUD <br />guidance allows for three months of rental housing assistance of CDBG <br />eligible recipient households. <br />Target Date 6/30/2021 <br />Estimate the number <br />and type of families <br />that will benefit from <br />the proposed <br />activities <br />TBD <br />CDBG-CV Round I: 40 households <br />CDBG-CV Round III: 50 households <br />Location Description Centro Legal de la Raza <br />3022 International Blvd., 4th Floor <br />Oakland, CA 94601 <br />phone: 510-437-1554 <br />Planned Activities Funding was provided to Centro Legal de la Raza, a non-profit public <br />interest legal firm with a demonstrated experience working with low <br />and moderate income households; evaluating financial need; and <br />ability to connect recipients to supportive services such as case <br />management, financial planning and coaching; and special needs <br />housing resources and providers. Centro Legal will administer this <br />program will be allowed to budget up to a maximum of 20% for <br />administrative overhead for the duration of the contract. <br />51
