June 11, 2020Disaster Council Minutes <br />School Districts <br />•San Leandro <br />•San Lorenzo <br />2.E. <br />San Leandro Unified reported that they have seen a decline in the food distribution. <br />Distance learning was a success, and the District will continue to review the process <br />and make adjustments as necessary to refine the delivery. The virtual graduation <br />ceremonies were a success and the new student enrollment fair went well. Staff <br />continue to disinfect facilities and construction is going well. The EOC is open and <br />working with partners. The District received and is reviewing the California Department <br />of Ed guidelines. Once the state budget is approved, more information on the <br />reopening plan will be provided. <br />San Lorenzo Unified reported that they are planning for fall, with administrators, union <br />leaders, and different important experts to develop a plan. Food distribution is still <br />continuing at three sites and with a large number on Fridays, with shelf stable and <br />produce boxes from Bay Cities Produce being offered. <br />Utilities <br />•PG&E <br />•EBCE <br />2.F. <br />No reports <br />Other Agencies within the City <br />•Chamber of Commerce <br />•Faith Based Organizations <br />•Building Futures with Women and Children <br />2.G. <br />ARES reported that they are holding Zoom meetings on Tuesdays and that they need <br />to reposition several antennas with PW help because currently, they are using <br />individuals’ radios and repeaters to communicate. <br />First United Methodist Church reported that Dr. Pan met with the faith based <br />organizations and recommended that people gather in groups of 25 or less outside. <br />The community wants to stay in line with what health officials are asking. A majority of <br />the congregation have joined online and are enjoying it.
