The Council is considering another $700,000 from Federal
Government for emergency rental assistance and with what was previously set aside, it
would be $1.1 million for the program. There will probably be a large demand.
Halloween was safe and quiet. There was some activity on election night, though some
businesses had windows broken, but mostly quiet.
Alameda County
• Office of Emergency Services
• Alameda County Fire Department
• Alameda Public Health Department
2.B.
Alameda County OES reported that the EOC is now activated on Thursdays only. The
PHD have been activated for 9 months and have dealt with 2 surges, maintaining a
slow steady reopening pace and trying to avoid closing areas that were opened. They
have established a COVID department for long term planning and response. A concern
is moving through flu season and preparing for the COVID vaccine. The testing,
contact tracing, housing and socioeconomic support systems are going well. The
Page 2City of San Leandro
22
