<br />Consulting Services Agreement between City of San Leandro and Last revised 11/21/2020 <br />The San Leandro Chamber of Commerce for Ongoing Econ Dev Services Exhibit A – Page 1 of 2 <br />EXHIBIT A <br /> <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />COMPENSATION SCHEDULE & REIMBURSABLE EXPENSES <br /> <br /> <br />The San Leandro Chamber of Commerce believes the business community plays a critical role in <br />continuing to move the local economy forward. San Leandro's businesses are responsible for over 60% of <br />the city’s total revenues. With the effects the COVID-19 pandemic has had on businesses, collaboration <br />between city staff, and partners, such as the Chamber of Commerce, to support and uplift our local <br />businesses and invite newcomers, is more important than ever. The Chamber of Commerce initiatives <br />focus on being the convener, catalyst, and champion for the business community. <br /> <br />Note – Events and meetings may be virtual or via video as appropriate per current health restrictions <br /> <br />Workforce Development - $12,000 <br /> <br />Create and promote programs to establish viable interest and engagement within the business community, <br />local high school students and job seekers to facilitate workforce development opportunities. <br />$5000 Job Fair, April 2021 – The job fair champions the initiative of local people getting local jobs within <br />multiple industries in San Leandro. <br />$7000 Student Manufacturing Day, Fall 2021 - This event is utilized as a catalyst to introduce students to <br />the makers industry and educational institutions. The Chamber engages and coordinates with local <br />manufacturing companies tours for students to celebrate the manufacturing history of San Leandro. Chabot <br />College then introduces them to education courses available in their areas of interest. The event is <br />marketed to the schools and the business community. <br /> <br />Business Retention & Expansion - $30,000 <br /> <br />Coordinate and convene forums, roundtable discussions/presentations and meet up events to educate, <br />inform and connect businesses to collaborate around common interests to maintain and further develop a <br />business eco system. <br />$7000 ($1750 per quarter) – Business Roundtable – Conversations with different business sectors get to <br />know and understand the business owners and their respective industries. There will be six meetings <br />throughout the year, scheduled every other month. Chamber and City staff will work together to determine <br />business sectors. <br />$13,000 National Small Business Week 2021 - Provide the platform and planning for up to eight one hour <br />business education seminars on several different topics; website development, marketing, social media, <br />QuickBooks training, resilient leadership, and more. <br />$5000 San Leandro by Design – Summer 2021 - San Leandro by Design is a signature program focused <br />on bringing San Leandro towards its fullest potential. Programs are designed around relevant topics, <br />bringing diverse interests and stakeholders together in the form of lectures, presentations and walking tours <br />of plans for development, updates from economic development organizations and inspirational storytelling <br />of successful cities. There will be one walking tour event to showcase the vision of the San Leandro <br />Shoreline leading to an after-event mixer at a shoreline location. <br />196
