Patrus-Betzel <br />Announcements1.B. <br />Members of the Disaster Council introduced themselves and the agencies they <br />represent. <br />DISCUSSION ITEMS2. <br />City of San Leandro response to COVID-19 <br />• San Leandro City Council <br />2.A. <br />Mayor Cutter reported that the MCC testing site is full every day, with no issue getting <br />an appointment and the results are back within four days. The city was able to help 60 <br />businesses with $5000 grant and now the county has a matching grant fund, and the <br />City was able to contribute $150,000, which will be able to assist another 60 business <br />with $5000 grants, for a total of 120 businesses receiving assistance. All grants will <br />be distributed by lottery. The Mayor was at the flu clinic and did a broadcast for the <br />news. This will be a dry run for the COVID vaccine. East Bay Dischargers Authority <br />received a grant, and they will be working with a consultant to look at setting up catch <br />basins to see where COVID is based on the sewer flow. <br />Vice Mayor Ballew shared that the City Council approved the matching for the CARES <br />funding. 660 businesses applied and the City had funding for 60. Staff were asked to <br />see how the City can help those with food and business insecurity, and maybe using <br />reserve funds to assist. <br />Page 2City of San Leandro <br />87
