McDaniel <br />Announcements1.B. <br />Members of the Disaster Council introduced themselves and the agencies they <br />represent. <br />DISCUSSION ITEMS2. <br />City of San Leandro response to COVID-19 <br />• San Leandro City Council <br />2.A. <br />Vice Mayor Ballew compared the current situation to football and how we are near the <br />4th quarter and have to remind people to be hypervigilant and to stay the course. <br />Councilmember Lopez mentioned that she had a meeting with a representative from <br />the Internal Affairs Office of the Governor as part of the board for California League of <br />Cities and things look bad and the projections for the surge are coming sooner than <br />expected. The measures to combat the surge may appear draconian, but we do need <br />to have a plan for vaccine dispersal. <br />Alameda County <br />• Office of Emergency Services <br />• Alameda County Fire Department <br />• Alameda Public Health Department <br />2.B. <br />Alameda County OES reported Governor issued a new stay at home order, which will <br />be based on ICU availability and a regional approach. Alameda County is in the Bay <br />Area Region, with Contra Costa, Marin, Monterey, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, <br />Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano, and Sonoma Counties. When regions have less than <br />15% of ICU beds available, the orders will go into effect. Within ALCO, 4 of 12 <br />hospitals, have no COVID patients at this time and the region is currently over the <br />Page 2City of San Leandro <br />93
