January 7, 2021Disaster Council Minutes <br /> Questions/Comment – <br /> - If your organization needs assistance with volunteers to fill out documentation, <br />please reach out. Rose (Davis Street Executive Director) will follow up if there is a <br />need. The plan is to initially use medical students and some of the volunteers from <br />the flu clinic. <br />School Districts <br />• San Leandro <br />• San Lorenzo <br />2.E. <br />San Leandro Unified shared that they will be opening the 5th ASES at Garfield, <br />supporting 12 students. The District submitted school re-opening plan to the Alameda <br />County Office of Education, which recommends a phased approach to in person <br />instruction. The scheduled date is March, and if the county has entered the Orange <br />Tier and internal labor negations allow. The plan looks to ensure the safety of staff <br />and students. <br /> Questions/Comments <br /> - Is there a timeline for when the food distribution program will be discontinued? It <br />will continue even after the schools open up with small cohorts. <br />San Lorenzo Unified – no report <br />Utilities <br />• PG&E <br />• EBCE <br />2.F. <br />No Utilities were available <br />Other Agencies within the City <br />• Chamber of Commerce <br />• Faith Based Organizations <br />• Building Futures with Women and Children <br />2.G. <br />RACES shared that that they are developing a new deployment plan for the city in order <br />to ensure that there are enough personal and equipment to cover the city and are also <br />checking with the federal government to see which frequencies are available. <br />Unity Church thanked everyone for all they do. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS3. <br />No public comment was received. <br />ADJOURN4. <br />The meeting was adjourned at 2:47 p.m. with the Mayor reminding everyone the real <br />work is happening in the background to keep San Leandro safe.
